dublin, here i come

I've never been farther east than Idaho/Nevada and I'm currently the farthest east I have ever been before. I'm currently in Boston, where I have a 3 1/2 hour delay until my flight to Dublin. As I stared out the airplane window as I was landing, I was surprised by the east coast. I had no preconceptions about the east coast; I barely know anything about it, let alone the geography. It is beautiful. I was surprised to see so much green, so many trees. The airport resides along the water and its absolutely gorgeous. And I LOVE the houses; they look like manors.

I started my journey today at 5:30 AM, left the house at 6 AM and got on my 8:45 AM flight from LAX to Boston, where I arrived 5 and a half hours later. My next flight is at 8:50 PM (East Coast time) and I arrive in Dublin at 8 AM. In summary, my flights are from 8:45 AM on June 5th to 8:00 AM on June 6th. I loose a full day, but I gain a day flying back west. It's weird to think that time just disappears like that. I imagine that is how Santa gets around the world on Christmas.

Just a few more hours until I meet up with one of my classmates in Dublin! I hope I am awake enough to start exploring right away. I know a Guinness is waiting for me.

Peace.
