My mom had the funniest dream last night. Atop of green hill, I was saying goodbye to my parents. Apparently I wasn't alone, but with a dark haired man in a cream colored suit. She said he had to be tall because he had to bend over to give me a kiss. And we left together.
How ironic. Obviously, this dream can't reflect the past or present. Can dreams tell the future? Because I wish the did.
You dark haired, tall man wearing a cream colored suit, I'm on the lookout for you.
The world is a place of unexplored lands, dreams, adventures, travels, thoughts, and ideas. This blog is a place of the explored not quite understood.

money doesn't grow on trees, it gets sucked out of a plastic card
More shopping for Sweden, less money in my bank account. The way I justified buying the things that I did today.. was "it's for Sweden". That made it okay. But after seeing how much it costed, no its not okay; its a necessary evil. I must just let it go. And what did I get? Underwear (somehow I managed to unconsciously pack away in storage all my underwear, socks, bathing suits, cap, goggles, and leggings, which can't be accessed until the end of August), a white rain jacket (Crystal and Megs, I purposely, though it was difficult because they were beautiful colors, avoided buying a pink or green jacket.), etc. And I have so much more to get.
On another note, I applied for a job and picked up a job application today! Who is crazy enough to hire me for only a month from July to August? Who knows, but I need one. And I need one badly. I was talking to my dad today about jobs and he suggested working at the OC fair, and it just so happens that the fair opens 3 days prior to when I get back and ends in mid-August. Hopefully missing 3 days wouldn't matter too much and hopefully they will still hire me. So, I applied and BOOM. Application done and sent! Its all in God's hand. And what position did I apply for since all the good ones were taken? Maintenance Assistance. Yes, that means I will basically be a janitor, cleaning the bathrooms, making sure the park is clean, gardening, cleaning the trash, etc. etc. It'll be interesting, and I really really really hope I get it. Plus, it will be good exercise. And, the other job application I picked up today was for Yogurtland, which will be handed in soon. What I've learned so far is that the job process is long and tedious, and a lot more difficult than it seems.
And now I go to finish season 2 of Make It or Break It, and yes I watch that show.
T-8 days until Sweden and get my butt into gear.

its friday!
My brother just sang the friday song in Chinese.
I'm having one of those days. You know, one of those lazy days where I have done absolutely nothing today. You've all had those, and I'm sure some of you have one of those days today. Its one of those days where you don't want to take a shower; I know, its gross, but you know it. Its one of those days where you find yourself wasting hours on facebook, without even thinking about it.
After thinking about it though, yes I have accomplished some things today.
1. Made myself a resume to apply for jobs. I'm praying some restaurant/store/etc. will hire my for the month when I get back from Sweden. I'm desperate.
2. I did some more planning for my trip. Added addresses to my book, as well as google mapped everything.
3. TBA

Blue Skies
The sun is shining, the sky is blue without a cloud in the sky, the air is warm, how beautiful it is to wake up and wear a t-shirt and shorts without worrying about it raining later in the day. Walla Walla, if only you were like this for the last month of school. But its okay, I accept you as you are.
Today was a busy day, but it was good. I will make a list because I like lists.
1. Driving again feels great. I still don't like the freeways and I am not that great at driving, but it feels good again to be in control of the car and on my own.
2. I went to the dentist. No, that's not the good part. Its great to hear that the doctor says my teeth are good and have no cavities. Oh, and I didn't get fluoride. WOOT
3. I thought there was something wrong with my computer because it started rattling when I tilted it. There was clearly something inside of it that kept moving around. So, today I took it in to the "Genius Bar" in the Apple store, which is so strange because I made an appointment for my computer like I'd make an appointment for myself to go to the doctors. So I was bring my computer to the doctors at a bar. It turns out that there was GUNK in my computer. The techy said my computer was really dirty. How it got there? I have no idea, but what came out of it looked like a piece of rice, but it was plastic. So the good new is that my computer just had gunk in it, and I don't have to worry about it falling apart. Now the question is, should I extended my warranty for 250 dollars that I don't have?
4. While I was at the mall to take in my computer, I decided to walk around. And OOOoh what a great idea that was. I found myself in the clearance section, of course, in Old Navy, where I found a lot of great clothes for 2.50 - 5.00 a piece. What a great steal.
5. Going for a walk ... right... NOW.
PEACE.

T-12
It's the end of May, and I am going HOOOOME!
I'm currently at the airport sitting at my gate, 3 and a half hours early, so no one is around me. It is just me and my two bags and everything inside them. I'm staring out the window looking at all the boarding airplanes and the numerous baggage vehicles rushing around. This is the first of many times I will be spending at the airport within the next two months.
Here's my game plane, and I will be blogging the whole way.
Today, Seattle to Los Angeles, and then to Irvine... HOME!
June 5th Los Angeles to Dublin, Ireland (with a stop in Botson)
June 10th Dublin, Ireland to Copenhagen, Denmark
June 12th Copenhagen, Denmark to Kalmar, Sweden and then to the Research Station in Oland
June 14th Back to Denmark
June 15th Back to Ireland, with an overnight stop in London
June 18th Back to Los Angeles
T-12 days. I have less than 2 weeks to relax, and then the fun begins.

Good Morning, Walla Walla!
You know what is one of the best feelings in the world? It is not even that I am done, but that I didn't have to wake up to an alarm today. I didn't have to reach over and press the snooze on my alarm that sounds like a bomb is going off, and it feels great.
So last night around 11pm, I submitted my final Encounter's paper and I am officially done with freshman year. It's been a good year, Whitman. You've treated me well. We've had our ups and downs and our fits, but overall you've been so great to me. You're taking all my money and making me poor, but its all worth it in the end. The education, the fun times, the amazing people are worth much more than all the money in the world.
The year has gone by too fast, faster than any year I remember. Literally, but also figuratively. Sometimes I feel like I've not changed, and other times I feel like I have grown exponentially. And by grown I don't just mean 15 lbs. of freshman love, but also mentally.
From a scramble, to sharing my life story outside in a lightning storm, to waiting 2 1/2 hours in a line to buy two posters, to the numerous campus band concerts, to the numerous dance parties, to rearranging the laundry room, to making mochi, to making various vegan desserts, to shopping at Goodwill, to indulging at Brights for those kinds of days, to spontaneously running the beer mile, to signing myself up for the trip to Sweden, to late nights with my roommate and my best friends, to a spontaneous trip to KWCW, to freezing in the fountain after Theta formal, to joining Kappa Alpha Theta, to insect and plant hunting, to nights under the starry sky, to the snow and also to the sun, to soy nut butter and soy ice cream, Whitman I think I have fallen in love.
