It is strange knowing that I am not in school right now. It's strange knowing all my friends are taking classes and learning. School is all I've really ever known known and experienced for as long as I can remember. I have always been in school. Right now, it just feels like summer, but it in fact is not, and that fact boggles me. Frankly, it makes me feel... a little lost.
I have always been that person who knows what move she is going to make next, who has a plan, and who knows where she is going before she heads there. I enjoy writing my schedule down in my planner (I know, weird right?) and prefer that to doodling while in class. Though I do like change and spontaneity I tend to "prepare" myself for change and spontaneity. I was that girl who applied early decision because I wanted to know that I had a solid plan and where I was going next in my life after finishing high school.
And well, life certainly threw me a giant curveball and my plans went a little haywire. I didn't expect to not finish my junior year, let alone the semester at Whitman. I didn't even expect not to finish college there. I didn't expect to be home so soon. I didn't expect to not be able to physically be in the presence of my best friends for the rest of my college years at Whitman.
So what is my plan now? I have no idea.
And frankly, though I feel a little lost and don't know my direction quite yet, I'm not too stressed or worried. I know that everything is going to work out.
And where am I at now? It's only been two weeks since I have been home, and I have a job at the Cinnamon Roll Fair in Balboa and I just recently had a job interview for work at a Chiropractic office where I would do both front and back office work. If I do get the job, I think it is too good to pass it by, so I would love to be able to continue working there as I go to UCI (that is, if I can get in). The opportunities and doors that are open are endless!
Though my original plans have been interrupted, I will be making new ones with new routes to undiscovered places. I know it sounds all cheesy and all, but it's what I am thinking about.
Cheers.
